Steppin' Out Saturday

Last night, Shawn and I stepped out to a nice dinner together: ALONE!  After FOUR weekends in a row of failed attempts and canceled plans, we were finally able to steal a few hours all to our married selves.  It was absolutely perfect.  My dad came over and sat with the girls and they were able to spend some quality time with their Papa.  I wonder if grandparents know how truly thankful we are for their help, their willingness to  give of themselves so that we can take a breathe and be still for a moment?  We ate a delicious meal of crab, shrimp, and salmon, caught up on a week's worth of conversation, and then came home to a sugared up seven year old and baby asleep on her Papa's chest.

I'm glad you were able to get a night out with your husband. I know my dad and stepmom sometimes struggle with that with their three kids. Also, your sandals are super cute! Have a great Sunday!

You guys always have the most adorable outfits! That red on your toenails is PERFECT - what a great color for the summer. I'm also in love with the necklace - but I've never heard of The Buckle. I'll have to find it and check it out sometime!
