June is here and I am sitting here wondering where the time has gone. How quickly this year is flying by! Another week behind us and what a wonderful week it was. Isabelle thoroughly enjoyed not having to go to school, having a more relaxed bedtime, sleeping in and no homework. On the days that I work, she will go with Brees to our dear babysitter's house where she will spend her days playing with two other little girls her age. She is excited to be able to be with her sister and has promised to keep an eye on her for me.
We were very busy at work this week as our hospital is suffering from a serious nursing shortage. One of my most critical patients made a complete turn-around, making it through his darkest hour and moving swiftly toward recovery. It is an amazing moment to witness, when the spirit of the soul pulls through, the will to live becomes stronger than the biological elements. Shawn worked diligently at school and is patiently waiting for changes on the job front. I could not be more proud of his hard work and his ability to accept whatever God has in store for him.
We have a very busy weekend ahead and here's what we hope to spend our days doing:
- Attend Isabelle's fourth dance recital. I am so excited to watch her perform and witness the progress she has made this year. She has worked so hard and it is definitely her moment to shine!
- Finish up my guest posts and work on my book reviews
- Take the girls to the park and splash pad and enjoy a picnic lunch
- Put Isabelle's school uniforms away and organize her first grade portfolio
- Lie in the sun and take a nap in my favorite lounge chair
And, of course, soak in as much love as possible. That's what it's all about, right?
This week is Spread Your Love week! Check out Lindsay's post for the full scoop on this
inspirational, empowering movement! And go here to read about my most loved and valued quality:)
We hope to see as many of you as possible participating in this incredible journey towards a better
sense of self!
P.S. I'm guest posting today over at one of my favorite blogs, My Beautiful Disaster. The lovely Erin has
one of the coolest and most interesting weekly features, Folklore Friday, and I was so excited to
contribute and write about my beloved Louisiana! Head on over to read my
spooktacular story!

June is such a busy month for most families...filled with lots of fun things to do! Enjoy.
Glad it looks like summer is off to a good start. :)
Oh, P.S. just read that Louisiana guest post. That was so, so, tragic. Such a shame. The wrong choices cause a rippling effect. Sobering thought.
Beautiful picture and sounds like a fun filled weekend!
This is a little off topic, but I really admire the way you mention your older daughter so much in your writing. I notice that a lot of blogs tend to focus mostly on their babies, and you hardly ever read anything about the older kids. Isabelle really gets to shine, and I think that is such a great accomplishment for a mama of two. :)
Sounds like you're going to have an amazing weekend!!
