A few thoughts at 31 weeks:
- Just because you are in Texas and you are excited about indulging in Tex-Mex cuisine does NOT make it a good idea to do so in the third trimester of pregnancy. You think you can handle it what with those Cajun genetics and all but, trust, you can not. Heartburn for days and days and a new aversion to anything involving salsa and carne asada.
- When a very pregnant woman is walking through the hospital with her husband who is wearing a cast on his arm, people WILL stare. You will attract lots and lots of attention. They will walk up to you and make really bizarre comments including, "What are you two going to do?", "This is terrible!!", "How did all this happen?". It is perfectly acceptable at this point to look at them as though they are crazy and continue walking down the hall.
- When said pregnant woman and husband in a cast are offered free valet parking, take it! Did you know that Texas is even hotter than Louisiana? Hurry up and run into the air conditioned building, NOW!!

I ate Tex-Mex like crazy in my last trimester with Hannah and had heart burn like crazy. But I craved it so much that I kept going back for more. And amen on the Texas heat! Houston is a sauna right now.
Oh man, the heartburn. Not fun. You look so good! Can't believe how close you are.
you plus pregnancy is honestly the most beautiful thing. you look incredible!
Haha, I craved Mexican food like crazy all throughout my pregnancy. Even worse, I would crave the bean and cheese burrito from TACO BELL, of all places. I'm pretty sure there's nothing redeeming about it except maybe the price!
I craved Taco Bell's chicken Mexi-Melts when I was pregnant for Isabelle. It seriously got to the point where they knew me by name in the drive through. Ain't no shame in our game, girl!
You are the sweetest!!! Thank you!
Not fun AT ALL!!! And thank you! I can't believe how close we are, either!
Dude, I love Texas but I was shocked at how hot it was. I know there's a heat wave and all but DAMN. Texans are tough!!! My saving grace: the virgin strawberry daiquiri I had at dinner. Yes, I went there!
Serious shivers, because I was also recognized in the drive-thru.
