Last week, I was inspired by Caitlin from To Make Love Stay and Maryam
from Pamplemousse! when they featured their everyday, real life fashion choices. I
will be the first to admit that I am not the kind of woman who gets dressed to the nines
on a daily basis. I consider myself blessed beyond belief that I get to wear scrubs to work
and have to put absolutely NO thought process into what I'm going to wear each day.
My scrubs are basically glorified pajamas: comfortable, easy to wash, and
completely wearable. It was especially wonderful when I was pregnant, running around
the hospital for 12 hours a day, not having to worry about how my growing body
looked because I was all set in a pair of scrubs. They require no ironing and allow me
to get dressed in 5 seconds flat: a pretty important feature when you're trying to get
yourself and two kids out the door each morning.

I stick to basic colors with no prints or designs because I think they look more professional
(a neuroses I picked up in the military). I prefer Grey's Anatomy and Laundau
brands because of the fit and super soft fabric. I've been wearing New Balance since
back in my cheerleading glory days because they are durable, comfortable, and easy to
clean. And then there's the stethoscope, ponytail, ink pen, and waterproof Timex
watch: nurse staples.

This is the everyday me, the working mama busy bee nurse. On the weekends, I
love getting dressed up and putting together outfits that inspire me and make me feel
pretty. I love adding accessories and wearing my hair down and trying new
eyeshadow techniques. But during the week, it's all about my scrubs.
For real.

I love it! I'm always a little jealous of people who get to wear scrubs for work, because I think they're cute!
Scrubs rock! I would kill to have it that easy, especially now that I have a baby. I wish every profession was scrub approved. :) Cute scrubs and plain are seriously better than all the crazy prints.
hah! i had no idea that grey's anatomy was really a name brand of scrubs.
what came first? the scrubs, or the show
So cozy. I used to wear scrubs to work...at an animal shelter, but still..and I always longed for those Grey's Anatomy ones. So soft and cozy and with a great cut to them. I love the simple color without wild prints too. I agree that it looks more professional. :)

The first thing I would have changed in the school system:: Teachers wear scrubs. Ha!! I used to be so jealous of Wade, never having to pick out his outfit!!! They look SO comfortable!! And you look SO cute!! :)
Look at you! too cute in scrubs... :)
Uhm, I think I'm going to get some scrubs and just wear those every day haha!
I think it would be heavenly to be able to wear scrubs to work. I have to dress up for work. Which isn't really fair because NO ONE else has to at work but because I am the director of HR they make me. UGh
Cute picture. You are so beautiful!
oh that looks comfy. i have thought about becoming a nurse, just so i can wear scrubs. then i remember i will have to draw blood and go to school and quickly change my mind. :) nurses are amazing people and thank you for all the work you do!
I love the concept of "what I HONESTLY wore"--that's just too awesome. i work from home so most days i would be in my pajamas...haha.
WE WORE THE SAME THING. My hospital requires all RNs to wear navy scrubs. If I wasn't already at the end of my long day and preparing for another tomorrow I would totes {yup, totes} take a picture so we could basque in our twinsy awesomeness!
NURSES UNITE!
I'm so glad you're doing this as well! I was so bummed that I didn't get to participate this last week. I wish my job allowed me to wear scrubs - my mother used to bring home scrubs for us to wear as PJs and I LOVED THEM.
that watch looks really good on you!
