Spring is a growing season in so many ways. Flowers are blooming, trees are growing,
and everywhere I look, I am reminded of how beautiful this season in our lives really
is. Nature in full force, life moving forward, changes that bring a feeling of hope deep
down into your soul. The baby and I are growing, his little kicks now strong enough to be
felt by his eager daddy and big sisters. When we ask Brees, "Where's the baby?", she lifts
up her shirt and points at her belly and proclaims, "MY baby here!!". Then, she gently
rubs my belly and says, "Mama's baby right here". A curious girl taking part in the
growing season as she watches my body change.

We spent most of this week outdoors, working around the house and enjoying the
beautiful weather. I am moving a little bit slower, reminding myself to use my legs when
I carry loads of dirt across the yard or buckets of fresh rain water to all the plants. Shawn
yells at me from across the way to "put that down and wait for me to help you!" but that's
just not my style. The more I move, the more I stretch and bend and lift, the better I
feel. This baby boy needs his Mama's arms and legs to be strong and ready for
whatever adventures he plans to embark on. Will he play football and baseball like his
Daddy? Will he love to dance as much as his mother and sisters? Will he want to cook
and grow things and dig in the dirt? Maybe he will do all of those things. Only a few
more seasons to go before we find out.
