This week, we put a lot of energy into transforming our home from Winter
Christmas Wonderland into our regular ole' cozy house. I didn't realize how completely
crazy we got with the decorations until I was forced to take them all down and pack
them back into the attic. Let's just say we went a bit overboard this year. But it
was wonderful and beautiful and I honestly can't wait to do it again next year. After all
the snowflakes and pine cones and glittery ornaments were tucked safely into their
storage bins, we dusted and vacuumed and cleaned every little corner. The whole house
feels fresh and new, the energy refocused for the new season.

While Shawn and Isabelle made a trip to the hardware store for our latest bathroom
project, Brees "helped" me clean and pack things away. Translation: She gathered as
many ornaments as she could get her hands on, hid them behind the curtains, and
then covered them up with her pants.

Also, I sympathize with having gone a little nutso with the Christmas decor. It took me two days to get ours away...
What a cutie!
I always feel the need to rearrange and move freshen decor after the tree comes down. Give everything a fresh start. I am on the hunt for new kitchen rugs and some new pillows for the couch.
