In That Number

Of all the amazing adventures I have embarked on throughout my 33 years,
nothing compares to my time serving in the United States Navy.  The comraderie
I experienced with my fellow shipmates, the journeys we navigated through foreign
lands, the personal growth and soul searching I accepted during those long voyages out
in the Pacific Ocean and beyond: it was life changing.  I am forever grateful to have
served my country and to have done so alongside such amazing, selfless men and
women.  The USS Chancellorsville will always be my second family, my second
home.  Today, and for every Veteran's Day after, I am thankful and proud to have
been part of that number.

Thank you to all who have served and continue to do so.  To my grandfather, my uncle,
my husband, and a multitude of cousins and friends, I salute you.
