Shawn Is Free

Today, Shawn got his neck brace off and the very exciting news that the fracture in his neck
is almost completely healed.  I finally get to wrap my arms around my husband's neck, lay
my head on his chest, and watch him smile with the sweet relief of knowing that yet
another injury is behind us.  This weekend, we will celebrate our 12 year wedding
anniversary.  Have I mentioned how head over heels in love I am with this handsome
guy?  Here's to a weekend of celebration: for all that we have, for all that we are, and
for sticking together through it all.

Doing well! Making progress every day, though it is slow. He is in physical therapy 3 times a week, wounds are completely healed, and he is getting a small amount of movement back in his fingers. We have no idea what the extent of the damage is yet, only time and hard work will tell. Right now, we are just thankful that he is healing as well as he is. The doctors all predicted he would have to have his arm amputated by now. So far, he is proving them all wrong!
