Ten Degrees Of Sanity
This weekend, just as I was about to give up and move out of this swamp invested state of mine and head north, the temperature dropped to 88 degrees! It was magical I tell you. We got two full days of rain and then a light, cool breeze swept in and made us fall in love with dear ole' Louisiana once again. We spent the entire weekend outside: swimming, back porch sitting, sidewalk chalking, and bike riding. The girls were ecstatic to be outdoors without feeling like they were suffocating under the heat and humidity. It was a low key, relaxing weekend and we just enjoyed being together: just the four of us. With the days winding down until the baby gets here, these moments are cherished by all as the end of one chapter and the start of another. I am so thankful for these uncharacteristically cool August days we were able to have together.

Such a nice break for you! I can't imagine dealing with the kind of heat you get all summer long - especially while pregnant!
this weather has been fantastic lately! so reminiscent of fall!
I told Shawn yesterday: IF we do this again, we are definitely going to plan it better. I will NOT be pregnant during a Louisiana summer again!! I can not tell you how many times I have found myself googling homes for sale in Colorado!!
I know!! It's awesome!!
