Sweet Friday

I am always so happy to welcome Friday, to reflect on the week and all that we
have experienced, to plan out our weekend and hope for more adventures.  This week
we recovered from Halloween, shopped and planned for Brees's upcoming birthday party,
and caught up on household projects.  We are in the process of giving our home office a
major face lift as we are in desperate need of a more functional and organized space.  As
of now, our dining room table serves as a scrapbooking area, art studio, homework abyss,
and photo editing workshop.  It's time to get things in order and create an area of our
home devoted to creative expression that allows us to work in a more
productive manner.
I'll leave you with a few photos from All Hallow's Eve.  We really blew Halloween out
of the park this year with a party for Girl's Scouts, two different family parties, and a
carnival at Isabelle's school.  By the time Monday night rolled around, we were exhausted
and our costumes were looking slightly disheveled.  Belle dug through her expansive
dress-up collection and went as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.  She looked beautiful
and everyone complimented her red sparkly shoes.  Brees was NOT having any more of
this dress-up nonsense and, rather than fighting the issue, we dressed her up in her kitty
cat pajamas, put one of Belle's leopard print bows on her head, and called her
"Wild Thing".  This moment was a defining factor in the difference between my
experience as a first time mom and my experience with my second child: I have learned
to just go with the flow and make the best of a grumpy baby situation.  The whole family
is much happier as a result.
Here's to an amazing weekend, friends!
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold.  But other times it's essential to
take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply
consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow.

You always look beautiful together - sometime it's better to go with the flow even if our first plans change. There is much to gain from the unexpected.
Anyway whatever Brees is wearing she is cute!
Have a lovely week-end!

It's always best to go with the flow. So much energy is wasted by doing just the opposite and, with a young family, there isn't energy for wasting!

You guys are the cutest! You all look alike!

I'm your newest follower. Please stop by and say hi.

Belle makes such a cute Dorothy. :) And I think you all partied enough to make of for all of us who didn't get dressed up or go out this year. :)
